no volume

hi sometimes there is volume and i can play my music and listen to the radio and another time nothing
ive no idea how to cure this if it didn;t at all i would by a new sound card ? if anyone can help a would be very greatfull cheers david

we all I think have to search out the ubuntu forums and ad some feeds to our browser to be handy when we need to look up things. I will try to be more help when I have more time. cause I answer most of all you during the wee hours of the morning when most people are asleep, I am working. Talk to everyone soon.
